Meet the Owner

Shelbi Ellner

Shelbi brings more than 20 years of experience in the medical field and over 15 years in the natural products industry. Her passion for natural wellness led her back to school for a more holistic approach to helping others on their wellness journeys. She is a certified wellness coach, a master herbalist, and certified in blood cell analysis. In 2025, she brought her passion for microscopy and her experience to the community by opening Local Roots Apothecary.

At the heart of Shelbi’s work is a desire to educate and empower her community to live healthier, happier lives. Through Local Roots Apothecary, she creates a welcoming, supportive space where people can learn about natural products, herbs, and healthy lifestyle practices, and make informed choices for themselves and their families. Her mission: share her experience and knowledge, encourage meaningful wellness choices, and walk alongside each person as they navigate their own path toward greater well-being.
